I have the Kartboy SS w/ bushings installed. It really improved on the stock shifter.

sti mounts are great if you dont mind some more noise and vibration and the eventual rattle of under dash wires and god knows what else but i would do it over again because you feel no slop at all

Subydude.com also sells a short shifter that is identical to Kartboys. might want to give it a try

i have an STI short shifter and KB bushings...everything is nice and short....really crisp too...

My friend haig (Fusion) had one he got off ebay. He said it worked great, he wondered why everyone paid so much for the other ones.

That was his opinion. Me i'm happy with my kartboy like I said...

Short Shifter

I installed a Cobb dual adjustable short shifter and Cusco bushings, along with STI tranny, motor mount, pitch and dif support. Never sorry that I chose the Cobb, flawless.

I have installed the kartboy with the bushings and love the feel. If you do the shifter get the bushings for sure! t was cake to install and the feel is much more crisp than stocker.

I would agree that the shifter alone is not nearly as effective as the bushings. The bushings make the most difference from the stock rubber.

are you talking about the 5spd or the 6spd one?
our 6spd shifter is about 30-40% shorter than stock the STi option is only 10%
why bother with that one IMHO

how does the STi Short Shifter 5MT compare to the stock WRX 5MT transmission? i found the WRX to be very vague to the point where 3rd gear was actually hard to find!?! i mean i could shift into it, but my first few attempts when parked were met w/ hitting the gate.
