Hey I'm not sure whats wrong with my tranny or if its even my tranny thats the problem...I get out of the parking lot and all of sudden I realize that my shifter feels really really stiff..as if something is stuck. I pull out onto the road thinkin its watever, a fluke or something. Im on the road and shift all the way to fourth. Car feels fine, no weird noises or smoke. I get bak to the parking lot and try to see wats wrong. Suddenly I realize I cant get into reverse!! It's really hard moving the stick to the right side. WTF is goin!?I can barely shift into third and fourth too..Feels like somethin is blockin the stick..PLEASE can someone help?

how cold is it where you are?

when having trouble getting into reverse, try letting the clutch out a SMALL amount, very slowly, while keeping rearward pressure on the stick.

Hmm ill try that..But the thing is I cant get into R or 5th. Does the weather affect my shifting that much..This is the first time it's happened before.

 

Bring it in to a dealership and get it fixed.

 

I know it might seem kinda lame, but did you check the gear oil? I would start there first, on my brothers car he was having problems getting into reverse and the car was shifting poorly, he drives an auto, I checked out his ATF fluid and it was empty, added some ATF and it shifts like new. If your gear oil is fine then I would go with what other ppl have said and bring it into the dealer.
