On top of that the total fix may cost me $1800 if my 100000 warranty does not cover it. The service guy said that Subaru covers 85% of the people who have this problem, as long as it was not caused by driver abuse. Well I'm sure I dont' abuse this car. I keep her under 3500rpm's, There are NO engine mods, I don't race etc.
If subaru covers it I'll be fine. But if they don't I'm screwed.
What should I do?
Will the problem get worse?

You paid for the drivetrain to last 100000 miles and according to said contract they should fullfill their bargin by issue'ing the correct fix for the said problem.

I dont see why they shouldn't cover it. Whether it was driver abuse or not, its a grind and they cannot prove that it was caused by drive abuse. If the gear was broken, then that would be a different situation. I would tell them that I'm not going to pay the money and I want you guys to fix this problem under warranty. If they won't, write to SOA and explain the situation. If they won't do anything, then I would cash out you extended warranty and get your money back. But I don't think that it would come to that. If you just start raising hell, they will probably fix it.

P.S. You might want to change the title of your thread, it reads 10000 mile warranty not 100000. Just a suggestion, you don't have to. Both Me and roadspike figure it out

Do you really keep it under 3500rpm? If so, I'm not sure why you wasted your money on a WRX. You might as well have just gotten the 2.5rs.
