$10000 ticket???
I was looking for catless upipe and downpipe... but my friend told my better not! cause once the police found out i am running catless ! i will received $10000 ticket ? is it true?

it's not so much a $10,000 ticket as it is a felony. so in addition to recieving the $10,000 fine, you could also serve jailtime and it will go on your permanent record. but isn't it worth it for 20 extra hp?
i guess if you got pulled over at some illegal street races or something, that's the most likely time to get busted for something like not having cats, because they really want to crack down on that kind of activity.

guess that means if i driving normal on the road will eliminate this problem from police right?

Hi JundGdD, i am running a catless up pipe and downpipe, but then again, i'm running the stock muffler also.very quiet and i don't think the cops would suspect the exhaust as being modified.

I am running a pde up-pipe and helix dp. Running catless stinks big time, but the gains can really be felt. I used to have an HKS hiper catback, but it is way too loud. I put my stock muffler back on and I don't think any cop will suspect anything.
Anyone wanna buy an HKS Hiper(couple of scratches) for $375 delivered in so. cal? It will be ready in 2-3weeks as I am going to order new gaskets/hardware and clean it up. PM or email me.

I guess the Constitution only reaches out so far west.
Take my advice (or ignore it) and think about this the next time you vote. Then, start actively campaigning for better legislation.

i have one cat on the up-pipe and straight pipe for the rest of the exhaust, very loud and i love it. no prblems with cops, but i am a smart driver(i know when to let it loose and when not to). do anything you want and make sure you have fun.

reading these post are making me more paranoid when driving. I am running a catless perrin up and helix dp. I also have a hks hiper axle back with the stock rear exhaust pipe. I installed the helix about a month ago. I havent gotten any hassle from the cops either yet. knock on wood. Usually when passing the cops i take the car into neutral or move to a higher gear.
do you guys think i should reinstall the stock muffler? Has anyone else experience problems from 5-0 with simmilar setup?
