HELP!! Cobb "Drivetrain Stage 2" '01 RS
I recently started feeling some clutch slippage, so I decided that, since I was going to be working on the system, might as well upgrade it. My wife got me Cobb's stage 2 kit (http://cobbtuning.com/impreza/drivetrain2.html) as a gift and I just put it in. Now, the pressure plate is so stiff that I can't even get the car into gear (it's possible to slot it into gear while up on the lift, but once the weight of the car is on the wheels, there's no way to get it into first, and attempting to shift into reverse gets that pretty grinding experience). Is there anyone out there that has had experience with this sort of thing? What am I missing? Is the stock hydrolic system not capable of handling this pressure plate? Perhaps some key element or setting that I might have overlooked?
I have driven another RS with this kit installed, and I don't recall there being anything else done to the transmission. I've also put a similar kit into my RX-7, but though that slots into gears firmly, it never put up a fight anywhere near this difficult.
Here's hoping someone out there knows a simple fix...
Thank you,
