Question clucth adjustment

recently my clutch feels like it doesnt grab correctly (release wise), sputters somewhat. would i need to adjust the pedal or adjust the clucth?! just feels like it wants to die out on first gear all the time and in reverse i burn clutch . any suggetions would help

Doesn't sound like clutch unless by sputter you mean clutch shudder. The car stalling out/bogging down/sputtering sounds more like
1. Boost leak - check all couplings and make sure inlet isn't toast.
2. Faulty afm - swap with a friend
3. Fuel delivery - fuel pump/clogged filter etc.
4. Dirty maf - irregular voltage reading.
5. Bad gas - full up again and reset ecu.

the afm is a reman bought a while ago, no cel codes for that sensor fuel filter is aftermarket, always fill up with cheveron 91. havent changed my fuel filter since 65k, no boost leaks....
