Question Valve Adjustment?

Last year while waiting at the dealer, I was thumbing through an article on the EJ20 US spec motor. The article mentioned the valves are to be adjusted at 60,000 mi.

My questions are:

Is this the correct interval?

The engine has to be removed, correct?

Has anybody had this service performed yet?

Typically, I would assume the valve lash gets tighter with mileage, as the valve seats wear and recede. Is this the case?

Does the Subaru factory book cover the procedure?

thanks,

The manual does cover the procedure.
Not sure about the 60K interval, it is not mentioned anywhere in either the service or owner's manuals as a scheduled maintenance item. I have also heard 100K someplace but can't confirm that either.
The engine does not have to be removed. It would be similar to removing the plugs, as anything in the way of access to the valve cover would have to be removed as well as the cover itself.
I have not seen anyone mention having done this yet although by now there are a number of WRX's around with over 60K.
