4EAT Help!!!!

I own a 2002 4EAT WRX. I have a Unichip mapped for Stage 4 (VF30) as my engine management (don't know if this is related to my problem). I know I know I'm planning on changing this but I cannot seem to find something at a reasonable price that I can afford right now... being poor sucks!

If I partial throttle say about 1/4 pressure the car will accelerate and at about 3500 RPM the car feels like it's bogging (don't know if it's the right terminology) and sounds like I have a leak in my intercooler or the intercooler is not being filled up! (I'm using that example since I have forgottent o clamp my IC to the throttle body and it sounds and feels exactly the same). I just found out that my IC (stock by the way) screws were not tighted all the way due to some threading on the 'Y' pipe backing out I recently replaced it with my friends stock IC and I still have the same problem. His IC is in mint condition so I don't think it's a problem.

Could this be the car try to shift to the next gear but cannot since the pressure I'm putting on the peddle is not changning thus making the car not shift but to proceed to the next RPM?

Funny thing though is that if I don't apply as much pressure and I keep it steady the RPM's will rise and eventually past the point where I have the problem and I don't expreience any problems!

Since I have a Stage 4 setup could I remove the unichip and run the car day to day to see if it imporves anything? I know since I have a stage four that nothing will control the duty cycle of my injectors...etc since that was the job of the unichip!

Also since I've noticed this problem my track times (1/4 mile) have been slower!

I recently also put on a SARD BOV on to my car. I don't think this has anything to do with the problem since I tried swapping it out and I have the same result!

Someone please help me out since it's been driving me crazy for the longest time!

Thanks,

Jon

Oh I forgot to mention that I also upgraded my TC but have yet to do the valve body mod since I don't have any money

Can the valve body mod be installed by me?
