2005 transmission finally better?

i heard something about subaru making the new tranmissions better. does anybody know if this is true? can't remember where i read that they are suppose to be able to take more that the 2004 tranny.
has any body had any problems with 2005 wrx's tranny?

The tranny is the same as the previous years. My 05 has 8k miles on it and I am already having trouble shifting into 1st. I put on the sti tranny mount, short shifter, and kartboy bushings. Those help with the shifting. My next step is changing the fluid.

Same tranny. It is the same tranny as the 1985 subies had.
