Transmission GONE! 06wrx transmission into an 02 wrx?

Hey all, my transmission decided to go out on me this past friday. Being I have an 02 with a stock transmission, I knew this day would come... Just didn't think it would be so soon.

Well my friend is waiting to get an STi transmission into his 06 wrx, he said he would sell me his for $500. I was wondering what is involved if i wanted to put his transmission into my 02 wrx?

I've seen somewhere that I would have to change out my clutch, as the 02 has a pull type clutch and the 06 has a push type, true?

I would love to just through a 6mt in there, but times are rough and I just need a car at the moment.

Thanks.

Are you going to be doing the install yourself?
