I have an 02 wrx and I was wondering if I could swap on some 05 sti rear taillights? I know I would have to change the rear bumper....will the 05 sti bumper fit my 02 wrx?

It should all just bolt on, I have seen a few people do this conversion going both ways.

well if you cut into your stock bumper then no you don't need an new bumper. A 04-07 Impreza bumper will do the trick. The only difference in the little lower bump that the 04-07 taillights have that the 02-03 lights don't have.

2006 - 2007 tails are the same shape, just a different brake/signal/reverse orentation.

You can cut out you current bumper to fit the newer lights but any bumper from a 04-07 Impreza (RS, 2.5i, WRX) will fit, a STi bumper might be too wide.
