Hey guys and gals-
I am ready to do my transmission install but before I do I want to make sure I have all my odds and ends matched up. I want a daily driver that is completely dependable. But I also want most performance that does not contradict my first statement. Here will be my setup
ACT Heavy Duty Street Clutch
ACT Pressure Plate
ACT Through out bearing
STi Braided clutch hose
STi Transmission mounts
I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the ACT Streetlite flywheel, a guy that is a trusted person in the WRX scene told me that flywheels in general are totally poo poo. I want to know since the ACT flywheel sits at a heavier than average for aftermarket 13.9 lbs if that would mess anything up.
Thanks
Austin

it should be good... i don't see any reason why it wouldn't. i have a 16lb flywheel in my 2.5RS right now, but I'm upgrading my clutch/flywheel to basically the same setup as yours when i get my WRX motor swapped in.
I think the ideal weight for a flywheel is right around 13lbs, so I think you should be fine. You might want to e-mail Noah at LIC, they use ACT with all of their conversions.. Adam even uses them on his car which has seen many trackdays and 1/4s... hope this helps
