I have a 2003 wrx and it came with a stock short shifter but my shifter is kinda wobbly. When it's in gear it still wobbles a fair amount. I was wondering if ur cars are like that and if not what the problem is. Also if i have to get a new short shifter to make the shifting more crisp and clean how and what do i hafe to get

 

I have the short throw, too, on my '03, and I've noticed that it feels like it rattles in 1/3/5. It isn't bad, but it's a little loose, and I'm considering swapping mine out, too. Oh well, so much for OEM....

 

Yes, the brushing makes a world of difference!

 

So...what does it feel like. Does the shifting feel more exact and precise?
