2003 stock short shifter problem

I have a 2003 wrx and it came with a stock short shifter but my shifter is kinda wobbly. When it's in gear it still wobbles a fair amount. I was wondering if ur cars are like that and if not what the problem is. Also if i have to get a new short shifter to make the shifting more crisp and clean how and what do i hafe to get

I have the short throw, too, on my '03, and I've noticed that it feels like it rattles in 1/3/5. It isn't bad, but it's a little loose, and I'm considering swapping mine out, too. Oh well, so much for OEM....

If you have the STi short shifter, by all means go and upgrade your shifter bushings. It's a cheap upgrade that makes a world of a difference in the shifter feel.
