04 sti 20,000 miles bad synchros

Car reluctantly goes into gear at high rpm once it gets warm, more so in 4,5,6 , it'll give a little grind then go in, what do you guys think?

I don't suppose you put in synthetic tranny oil did you?

I heard its just too good and makes it hard for the synchro's to work. Its also odd that your higher gears grind more.

yes i know shame on me, i used amsoil before i knew better, but now i switched back to the stock oil and i still have the prob =-[

Car Info: 02 WRX wagon=dead; rollin' in a Craptastic Camry!

As long as the oil you put in was the appropriate grade (GL-5), you should be covered under warranty.

subaru is covering it, i was just wondering along the lines of preventing this from happening again =-[
