04 building sti transmission questions.

Sup guys. Looking for some direction and guidance. Everyone knows so much more then I, I figured I would just ask .. I have been told that ths stock sti transmission can take up to 600hp, but I know that the stock clutch would probably not last the long with that much power. Fyi- I have an ACT now ..
First is that even true? I was also told that 05 had a better built trans.. true? I dont care if I have to replace my clutch on occasion, but how hard can I drive the car before I will need to worry about the trans..? I want to be able to launch on occation with worring about the trans.. at what milage have people started to see transmission failure or is it not a concern because the clutch will go before the transmission would ever see a prob.. let me know. . Thanks..
