What RPM do you Launch?

I wanted to know whats a good RPM to launch my 04 WRX.

slow slip from ~4000RPM = easy launch.

very quick slip from 5000RPM = rear ended by a semi
note if you launch from 5k and mess up, be prepared to pay the price.
Many people launch from 5k many times with no problems, but many have also broken their trannies. Its a gamble, so be prepared if you decide to take the risk.

Another thing to add... when I launch hard from 5k, I like to bring it up to ~4k RPM, then right before you go, floor it, and as soon as you hit 5k RPM, slip the clutch very quickly and smoothly. You'll know you did it right if you don't smell much clutch and your neck hurts the next day... oh yea and you tranny is still in one peice

Forgot to add, I have 55k miles on my 03 wrx and the stock tranny and clutch appear to be in good shape

i pump the gas till like 3500 or 4000 rpm's an take the gas to the floor an when i hit 5000 or 5500 slip the clutch fast an smooth an if you dont smell it then you know you didnt burn your clutch
