there is one trick used here is to plumb up a CO2 fire extingusher to spray over the I/C, but remember that you don't want to suck the CO2 into the induction!!!!!!

Dry ice placed on the I/C works well cos it does not drop water and as it evaporates it cools well.

Car Info: 02 blue WRX header,turbo back exhaust,framairfilte

I was going to try this idea but could not do it because since my car is an auto it takes forever to spool up I have the header and gutted uppipe and full turbo back exhaust setup. so if i would ice the i/c it would alreadly be hot by the time I hit the lights since when I heat the car up it spools up faster, i guess it is just tough to launch the auto just wondering if anyone else have had problems spooling up the autos even with a full exhaust.

Cut your wiendshield whiper squarter hoses, or at the track put another one on and get two of the squarters inside your hoodscoop and aim them twards your intercooler. if you want put ice in your resavore.
that might help a little.

and just hold the button all the way down the track between each shift

i have the same problem with spooling up with an auto.

if you put ice on top of the intercooler the temp will only change from the top i would think, so wut matters is the core temp right? just my 2 cents

ITS A MYTH, I have two friends that tried this one had a bag of Ice and the other used compressed air up side down they ran the same time or slower. N intercooler sspray kit NAWWZZZZZZZZ.
