Sup everyone new here and need help. Nice site, will be here alot more often now that I'm out of Honda's and into Scooby!
I recently moved to Europe and decided to go with something new here other than the Honda's that I know and love so much! So I bought a JDM Forester STB, yes it's a 2L turbo that puts out 240 hp. I don't know much about it, except its great, alittle bigger than what I'm use to, but great power especially on the highway! I don't even know the engine code yet or what the difference is between this engine, the WRX that puts out 230 hp or the STI that puts out 286? I believe if I'm not mistaken everything is interchangeable. Can anyone shed some light on this, school a Sooby newbie!
What I really want to know/do is put a tiptronic tranny on my STB. I have seen some Imprezas with this conversion (older gen) but I don't know anything about it. If they all are 2L turbo motors which I believe are the same, what do I need to do this conversion and will it work. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

Do you already have a 5 speed tranny? If so, I don't think you'll be able to get the car to shift any faster using the triptronic. That is unless you want to eliminate the hassle of having a manual transmission.

 

No I don't have a 5 spd. The tranny is automatic, what I want is to put a (automatic but with) tiptronic. I want to know if an impreza WRX tiptronic tranny will bolt up to my STB! They are both 2L turbo's but not sure. Anyone?

ok forgive the ignorance what are 4EATS? and MBasile you want pics of what? And can anyone provide any info? I am currently residing in a really small country with absolutly no help. I'm searching high and low for info on the net. Someone Please.
