Motor Swap question
motor swaps arnt that hard with that since its electronic throttle you gotta be sure to to get the peddals then all you need is some wiring diagrams for each car a lable maker and some time
I was going that direction myself. I was talking with Mike Shields of SPD tuning and we were going over the wiring diagrams. For what i understand, The american WRX is based on the JDM WRX and JDM STI for the most part. The american STI is different. Yes all components, motor, tranny will drop in ( you will need all STI drive line right to the brake discs) but the problem is the wiring. The american WRX and the JDM WRX is plug and play plus a few wires for thw AVCS. The American WRX and the American STI, you will need the complete cabin wire harness and yes throttle by wire pedels also. I could be forgetting some stuff as its been awhile since looking into this. Let me know if you find any other info.
