Talking How about some Twin Turbo V8 power?

Hows it all,
Some may think of me as a Subaru traitor but I am thinking of doing something different
I am on the path of transplanting a Twin Turbo Toyota V8 into my 96 STI V3 Wagon. Has anyone else done this? or can anyone think of anything that would be a problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're right 2JZ is a 6 but am lookin at the 1UZ-FE from the Soarer and bolting a couple of aftermarket snails on the side .Expensive? Yes, but with a mate that specializes in Toyota V8 conversions and also custom fabrications Im budgeting for around $12000 and hope to have it ready for the 2007 NZ Nats.

Are you sure that will even physically fit under the hood of an Impreza? I'm betting it's far too tall.
