Question Evo front mount

I know my buddy is always talking about how wonderful evo parts are and how they are engineered to perection before leaving the factory...blah blah blah

has anyone heard of putting an evo front mount on an sti? I've got a chance to buy one for pretty cheap, just wondering what you guys thought...

I know it'd be like god getting a kidney transplant from the devil...but whatever works and is cheap right?!?!?

I am sure it is pretty easy to do. However, the cost of making IC piping would probably offset the cheapness of the EVO IC core.

Would agree on the cost of making the custom piping.

Evo intercoolers (and Toyota Supra) were highly sought after for cheap upgrages back in japan for alot of cars.

Hell I almost ended up getting one for my Silvia, but ended up getting an ARC stock replacement that had almost the same airflow qualities as the EVO III intercooler.

I'd look in to the price of piping and see if it's worth it. It would really be a step up, but still less than going for an HKS or similar sized intercooler.

Might be interesting to measure out and see if there is an FMIC intercooler piping kit that comes close to the EVO endtanks and then get teh rest made from the piping kit to the cooler.
