Unhappy Difference between EJ20T and EJ20TT????

Hi, I'm starting this thread with the hope of getting some PROPER answers.

I have a 97 legacy non turbo (Australian Model), and want to convert it to a turbo. I am not sure of what to get with performance in mind. I was told that although a Legacy Twin Turbo is still an EJ20, it doesn't produce as much power, and can't be tuned as well as a Single Turbo WRX EJ20. Does anyone know if this is true??? Please help!!!

I have the money, however, it's very hard to find a WRX EJ20T in Australia, I can find Legacy EJ20TT's, but don't want to spend the money, if a WRX is much better.
I can possibly import a WRX engine from Japan, but that costs more money and time. So here's my dilemna, do i get the Legacy or spend more and import a WRX engine?? Is it worth it???

Also, is it hard/expensive to convert a Legacy TT to a Single Turbo? Will I need to replace the ECU aswell???

If anyone can answers these q's I'd be extremely grateful as I currently have several people trying to sell me Legacy engines, but I am worried they are just trying to con me into it as they don't have any WRX ones.

Thanks

Well I do know this, getting a WRX engine from japan will be your best option if you were to get a WRX engine, from japan they come with around 280 hp, vs as low as 208 in other countries, whether or not this is crank or wheel hp, I am unsure, but if I am not mistaken, australia is rhd also right? making it easier than a conversion in the states, not much, but still easier.

of course we have wrx's, they are probably the most common car around here, apart from the local sedans. that's why i'm doing a legacy, coz they are pretty rare. I like wrx's and how they run, just don't wanna blend in with the crowd.

now as for my original question..do you know which is better to go with???

if that's the case then I'd just get an aussie WRX motor, but that's just me.
