95 Imp 1.8 OBD1 convert to 98 2.5RS DOHC OBD2.. Best way?
I read the 1.8/2.5 swap FAQ, but I'm still a bit confused. I've tried to simplify things by narrowing my options down here. If there's anything i've left out, please ask.
Option 1

Run the dohc 2.5RS engine on my 1.8ECU
Option 2

Swap over all wiring and ECU / emissions / intake from the 2.5RS
What do you guys recommend? I'm concerned that the 1.8 ECU might run the 2.5 lean and destroy it over time. Just exactly how much work is it to swap over the complete 2.5 wiring and ecu?
