i am ready to go Hid and would like to be under$100.I want plug n play with the 8 k lamps but would prefer to buy them locally and not off ebay, any suggestions for the last guy on the block to get away from the worst headlight since the '85 chevy pickup thanks

They're all pretty much the same ebay or not. I would go 4300k or 5000k somewhere in that range. It looks more stock and you wont get that ricer blue going on. I'm running 4300k Philips in mine which are the best IMO. But I also did the TSX retrofit

^ THIS!

Don't go 8k...too much and it's going to look purplish. Not too cool.

The best ones are going to be Philips, Osram, and high end brands. The trade-off is that they are price, like $300+. But you get what you pay for. The cheaps ones are generally crap. I remember a couple years ago there was a small company that sold sets for $99 on ebay and they got really good reviews from clubwrx memebers.

What I did was bought Osram +90 bulbs, which increase light intensity and also make the light more white. They were only $45 shipped and are top of the line.

Ya, go with 4000k to 5000k. No more than that.

TSX retrofit is the best way to get HID's.
