I usually use Chevron or 76.
When I bought a Yamaha motorcycle in the mid 80s, the dealership made a point to tell me to stay away from Shell- the additive pack did not agree with their bikes.
dunno why.

I kinda miss Europe.. the octane numbers there were hitting 100.. I think at least 2 companies there had 101-102 mark of the fuel few years back..
BUT, as far as i was told, even though the numbers were different there, comparing to here, the fuel was actually the same.. Haven't done research about it, but that is what i was told when i looked puzzled at the small number i see here at the gas stations..
Here, since i got my WRX, i have used only Shell V-Power in it and i am pretty happy. Haven't have any real opportunity to try something else, because i have Shell stations right around the corner, both at home and at work..
From what i read i will consider 76 to be a good option in a future fill-up

I only use 76 or Shell. Right after I fill up my Suby with 91 octane, I can just feel the boost and how smooth the car runs. I use to use Costco 89 octane on my 89 240 hatchback, and no offense to you guys who use Costco, but it sucks, never felt smooth at all. Burns so quickly it feels so cheap, as if it was Kirkland Gas. So I spent the extra 15 cents on Shell's 89, and it was much better.

I use 76 because there's one a few blocks away from here, so I fill up before I go out or after I come back from school.

i use to fill up shell all the time because i have their credit card 5% back but now i fill up 76 i found a relatively cheap 76 station that would match the price of shell even with the 5% back

I miss Quiktrip, they are in Oklahoma, KS and phoenix, they have great gas. Out here in Vegas I run premium from only Chevron.

Although some of the 76 stores carry 100 oct, and many of my friends that are running boosted cars get 100 there ($5.00 a gallon though)
