Motor Oil - Synthetic

For those of you who hav e used or are using the synthetic motor oil brand called Royal Purple, is this stuff naturally dark straight out of the bottle? I noticed that it has a slight purple tint but I also noticed that it's dark, relative to all the other brands I have used. Can anyone comment on its color?

Thanks for your help.

i've been using it for years- its normal.
and yes it is a very dark purple.
one thing i noticed - if your gaskets are bad, running
this oil will make your car leak oil- not exactly sure why...
