when manufacturers post times, thats not with traffic is it? i'm sure they get to test on an empty track with enough $$$.
I would hate to have a hot lap, then get stuck behind someone on a long turn, there goes .5 seconds. and on an 8 minute lap, im sure that happens at least 8 times. There goes your 4 seconds

i wonder if the huge BMW logos etc on the track are slippery, sometimes they look like paint, but maybe chalk. But thats like losing .01 lol
Like this one looks like paint to me, and a wet yellow line on the street is slippery, so who knows what this can do at 100+

Traffic?

Yup, moisture on the track is a definite factor, one that is not always accounted for/noted when times are posted. Since the track is in a wet climate, and there is so much track (almost 13 miles worth), even a few wet areas can greatly affect one's time.
And yes, I believe the GTR ran both times w/o traffic, but I'm not sure.

agree completely. i dont give a ****, the gtr is rediculously fast. could be faster then the porsches...might not. 80k less then a gt2 or porsche would make me buy a gtr and laugh at u as i put 80k in to it and it screams past u poooing all over ur gt2. i love porsches and i love skylines(all of them) but the bang for the buck is the gtr.
*as for the carrera gt, that **** is in another tier of automobile. up with the enzos, and SLRs and koeniggsegg. anyone or any car enthusiast i would expect to take the carrera gt...most beautiful sounding car ever made IMO

I'm guessing you mean the out-of-production Carrera GT? Well, since we're in hypothetical lala land here, why not have the CCX? Or the convertible Veyron? Or the one and only one P4/5?
Afterall, we're dreaming, right?

LOL at Porsche. It just kills them doesnt it??
Porsche should stop whining and just stick to charging $1,000 for a clock on their ***-engined poseur-mobiles.
