I say total bs, the gtr ran 3 seconds quicker than f430,muceilago/slr mclarren/z06 around topgears track with 1:19 (short lap time) 3 seconds is huge.

 

Also I heard chevy came out and admitted ZR1 around ring was on slicks

 

Porsh engineer drove it.

 

they are not saying that the car did not run the time, Porsche is asking how they were 25 seconds off the pace with a production GT-R if Nissan ran their time with the same car.

 

its the us spec vs euro spec

 

they pulled off into a little town, grabbed a brat, and entered the ring almost near the end i think is what happened.

 

I don't know, I think it's plausible. Why would Porsche put their reputation on the line like that. I'm sure the test was observed by someone outside of Porsche. Just seems a little foolish to make false accusations. Physics is a pretty solid argument in this case. Perhaps the Topgear test car was tweaked? Did they run any diagnostic tests on it before testing? Too many variables to figure.

 

I read an article somewhere that of four different GTRs tested three different HP readings were produced. I wouldn't doubt if the pre-productions were pumped up.

 

nah.. porsche is just pissed... cause who is gunna want to buy the slower car for more money...

Same people buying them before are gonna buy them now. It's a porsche.

 

Porsche is just mad because thee gtr is a better car and cost less.

 

I hear that zr1 and gtr may have run race gas as wellll.................

can't wait for some of these rumors to be answered..................and im sure it will get everyone into a ruthless attitude at the ring.

 

exactly a porsche will pull more tail than a nissan
