Is the LA show way better than the San Jose show? I was hoping to see the STi and others at the SJ show in Jan. When is LA? The nuttiest one I have ever been to was the '98 Birmingham Auto Show in the UK - it was absolutely crazy. 2 full days and I didn't see everything. SJ has been mostly boring except for the 60's cars they had that one time.

They ahve been bench marking against the 997TT for the last year. That car was their sole target to beat, so its no surprise it would.
I seriously doubt that spec sheet is correct. Estimated weights I have heard from reliable sources are in the 3500 range with lighter versions available.
Would be interesting to get all the past generation GTRs on that time list. The R33 GTR set a production car record that stood for a little while, but I cant remember what it was

Since there was the talk of release a base, Vspec, and EVO models of GTR, I bet you they'll have the standard be this 3700 lbs and then lighter Vspec and even lighter and more powerful evo model.
I really hope they do some staggered release and also make a big production run - it will help to bring down prices of the base model after a couple years so I can actually afford it

Back end I like alot except for the weak little cobalt SS spoiler thats way too tame for the rest of the car.
Nice find!

There are supposedly going to be multiple trim levels and at least one prototype had a larger wing and probably more aggressive front. From an aerodynamics standpoint, the less openings on the front, the better. You want as few as possible to give the proper cooling. However for looks, I am not completely happy with that no side ducts
