GTR beats 997 TT?

For those of you who don't read autoblog... http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/22/r...dvantage-gt-r/

man that is sweet, there's also confirmed preorder info for the japan models having the top of the line skyline w/ 530hp! Looks like the GTR is running parallel spec with the 997 tt and GT2

I'm salivating but crying at the though of the markup for these cars. My only hope is that Nissan proudces enough of these cars and releases the EVO and vspec here so that US consumers can buy the car in tiers. Otherwise everyone will scramble for the same model and this dream machine is being marked up to $100k+ for sure in its first year

I know there are ballers in baic - you gotta stop building that twin scroll cosworth powered STI and buy this instead so you can take pictures and bring it to meets!

yeah. that list really gives you an idea of just how awesomely faster cars are getting with every model iteration.

People are always going the fanboi route of "that car sucks I can just buy a used XXX and upgrade it with horsepower and suspension" Well, look at the RUF and Blitz cars, among other tuner vehicles - they had all the money in the world on pretty much unlimited budgets with more and better mods/tuning than any private owner will ever have.

Look how they stack up against the top factory engineered latest and greatest.

Ain't no substitute...

Seriously what a steal, at that price I might just pick up a few to leave at Caltrain stations in case I feel like taking the train.

I'm seriously quite torn on this. I promised myself I was going to save up and invest instead of getting a new car... I don't know if I'll be able to resist. That's why I'm actually hoping this car is dealer marked up to hell so I can't afford it and won't even think about it.

It'll still be freaking $1500/month on a shorter term lease and insurance oughta cost another few hundred a month...
