I was at Jack Miller Subaru of Olathe Kansas yesterday, and they told me that an sti would be between 32k and 35k-ish, depending on what goodies were ordered with it.
They also had a couple of 03 WRXs left, and the sales guy told me they had been told to sell the 03s first. Soooo, I may be able to get a really good deal on one.

Maybe Ford should start by bringing the Focus RS over, and replacing that 50 year old chasis on the Mustang.

Ugh you're a bit "misguided" there last time someone tried to touch the Mustang was by replacing it with the Probe and Ford got so much hate mail for even thinking that (including my own two cents as well
) I think the Mustang will be around for a good long time. The 05 looks killer not to mention that the SVT cobra now is a damn good car with 390HP easily upgradable to 450+. Mustangs should be respected.

The mustang will be getting a new chassis in 05. They start production early next year, around January. The new mustang is actually going to be built in a new ford/mazda plant. The chassis as far as I know is going to be a variant of the jaguar lincoln LS chassis. Maybe they'll go IRS on more models of the stang. Ford is also starting with their new SOHC 3 valve heads for the 4.6, 5.4L V8s. The F-series trucks and the Mustang will be getting the new 3 valve heads. Two intake one exhaust. One cam, centered spark plug. Breaths about 40% better than 2 valve GT heads that are now on the 99-04 GT stangs. Lots of changes for the stang. Retro look, new technology. Oh, and get this, the 3 valve has variable valve timing as well. I'll look up a web link to all this...
Okay, this guy's site is always getting the latest news. He knows some people at Ford somehow. His information always checks out:

My parents used to be die hard Ford owners but after the crap of the 80s and early 90s they refuse to buy another Ford product. The last Ford I owned was a 78 Ford Ranger back when the Ranger was the full sized truck. That was a great truck for going to play in the mud. Unless the Focus comes as a RWD and a V8 then I don't give a damn about it.

i'm 99.999999999% sure that the new mustang is for here primarily...
My only Ford was a 68 Mustang 289 ci funster. It collapsed in my driveway of terminal rot and totally worn out timing gears after 210K miles. It had one recall for a seat back pivot on the driver's side. The passenger side on my broke when I gave a ride to a 300# young man. As to the Neon: I had a 97 which threw a huge oil leak after 50K miles. Chyrsler put on a slightly better head gasket the next year which fixed the problem. I would expect the same attention to cost in the new Neons!
