I drive an '01 RS Coupe because it's the closest thing to my favourite car ever - the 22B. I would love to drive an EVO especially at T-Hill some time. I have a few opinions here and there about the EVO and STi, but since I have no hands-on experience with them myself (aside from sitting in them) I will keep my opinions about those to myself.

I personally think Subaru shot itself in the foot while running at a pretty good clip when they made the grille look like an Edsel. The funny thing is, without that grille it looks awesome - like an updated version of the best Suby style ever ('99-'01).

I will say that OF COURSE the driving style between them is different. My '03 WRX and '01 RS were different and they were very similar chassis. Saying that you must learn to correctly operate a piece of machinery as a downside seems kind of silly to me. Seeing EVOs wreck in amazing displays at T-Hill made me think that they require a little more finesse to drive at speed, which ironically made me like them and want to drive one more. Hopefully one day I will have a very good friend with an EVO who likes track days.

I was hearing that the new Evo can get into the 12's 100% stock

not sure what the track circumstances were like, though

^ yeah, I've heard that too. From some of the baseline runs they've been posting...I believe it. That **** is strong...Subaru definately needs to step up now.

If those numbers are true, those are awsome numbers... especially for a 4-cylinder. The Japanese know how to do it!

Awaiting STI's response...

The EVO IX traps 107mph stock. The '06 STi...99mph. =/ Pretty big difference, if you ask me.

Also, I read somewhere that the EVO X will come in an optional 2 or 4 door. You hear that...a 2 door!!!!!! Finally...someone does it correct.

The magazine I read said it would come in 2 or 4 door models. Nothing said about a wagon. I also kinda looks like an Acura TL in a way.

two door would be cool, but for weight distribution, they've kept the 4door and are considering the wagon...

evos do offer more bang for the buck right out of the box + when modded than WRX's + STi's, but I would never want to own one. If I wanted a powerful POS w/a crappy interior, I'd buy a Vette.

Anyways, MERRY XMAS, y'all.

My friend's EVO's interior actually has LESS squeaks and rattles than my cousin's '05 STi. Go figure. =/

Would the amount of squeaks and rattles depend on suspension setups, driving habits, road conditions regularly driven on, miles put on the car, and several other variables?

While it certainly may be true that your friend's Evo has less rattles than your cousin's STi, these are only two cars and they certainly don't represent thousands of other Evos and STis.
