'06 EVO IX MR V.S '06 STi

I'm just waiting on insurance to pay me out for my car. So in the meantime, I'm trying to decide between these two cars to replace my WRX with.

I actually prefer the EVO IX's looks to the '06 STi's. The '06, to me looks goofy. Mitsu did a good job on getting rid of the EVO VIII's bird beak looking front end. The EVO IX looks all business now. All it needs is some all red EVO 7 tails. The new '06 STi will need alot more than that to make it visually appealing.

I still love Subarus in general though. It's gonna be a tough choice. What do you guys think?

EVO IX MR or '06 STi?

Go w/ the EVO MR if you can afford the 3K more in price.

White '06 STi looks great IMO. Remember, Mitsu is still in financial trouble, and I'd hate to have dealerships close right after I just bought a car..

I had a wrx.

Now I have an evo. 303whp on the gruppe-s dyno with 4 power mods. Loving every minute of it.

See you at the track.

I wish I would have waited 6 months for the evo IX MR

Look at the other evo thread, there is a treo of dealers in so cal selling them for 32.5k. Thats only a hair more than what I paid for my STi

The IXs are also dynoing with 30 or so more WHP than the VIIIS, and can easily put down 300+whp with just a tbe and flash. A few more bolt ons and they capable of low low twelves/high 11s

EVO..no question.

If you want a great deal a few Mitsu dealers down in the LA area are blown them out...like $2500-3500 off MSRP.

I called SRM the big local EVO dealer and they also said they would work on a deal under MSRP....atleast 2k off.
