If you're really pushing for lower price, why not start with an older L instead, and upgrade as necessary? Granted, it's an even lighter body, but of course, your engine and suspension are less capable - but you will upgrade that down the road anyway...

 

U can always try and negotiate for a lower price. U won't know just by speculating from here and not talking to an actual seller..

I was also thinking of a Legacy as another possibility. In Gran Turismo 3, there's this highly tuned Legacy wagon... aw man... it made me drool...

However, I'm sure Legacies get not that great gas mileage, eh? plus the phase 1 problems...

Legacies are heavier, aren't they?

by about 200 pounds. That would most likely lower gas mileage since there's more for the same EJ25 to carry.
