tru this. ive never bogged down rolling thru a stop. not even a cali roll. just barely coming to a stop, and 2nd gear has no prob getting me rolling again

When my Outback ran, give it a good rev and the shifter would eventually pop into first. I've even done a reckless 35MPH downshift (borderline of the rev-limit).

Maybe it was because it was such an old tranny. 1999 model year, lots of shenanigans done on that car.

u gotta rev match it pretty high to do that and it's not comfortable to my ears. damaging my poor car lol

I can healtoe and get into first at like 15 but any faster than that and perhaps I am just not comfortable rev matching that high.
