Ya know I was all ready to do the EBCS when I did the turbo upgrade and Mike said don't bother. I was gonna buy it from him too, so he had every reason to sell me one.

I've got my down-pipe and am staying with it. I can pass a roadside sniffer no problem

I can't really pull much weight out of the car and not get into some nasty classing for auto-X. The power is the last thing I've worried about. I'm literally out of stuff I can do to the suspension/chassis without becoming a E-Mod car

Roadside sniffer is not the same as smog where they will do a visual.

Do you have a place that will look past it, or some big shielding to block it from visual?

@Javirex...
Yupp, just like it sounds. GST cut off the taper and welded on the 3" flat flange. One less bottleneck for the exhaust flow was the priority.

OP, thanks for your advice and feedback about 16G-XTR, as I'm looking for that next.

From what I've seen of your goals, I still recommend the EBCS to wring out every bit of power. The part cheap enough, though it does require an updated tune. Maybe toss in some injectors and then it's worth the updated tune??

For response and efficiency, etc, would you consider a CF Driveshaft? I like Kaizen, so I've been slowly modding my car as the years pass by, and have this on my "bigger buck" mod list.

If you want to keep the stock TMIC, then you may want to look into getting the Subtle Solutions Chimney.

CF driveshaft would probably make the biggest difference in response

What was the limiting factor in power at your last tune @ gst? Heat? Fuel? Boost? The GS unit has to be more efficient than the stock.
Heyyyyyoooooo!

Yea, we are pretty much at the limit with that top mount. IAT stated going up at the end of the pull (Im running speed density and have the sensor on the bottom tank of the intercooler). We were going to try and keep going but, it just was going to slow the flow down even more.

To the OP, EL are great just on terms of efficiency alone. A bigger IC would also help. But seeing as youre talking about E85, youre going to have to up your fuel anyways. Thats probably going to be your best and safest way of making power at this point. I would go with some ID 1000cc injectors and a fuel pump. Just have two maps for pump and corn

Yeah I think I just need to accept that E85 is the way to go and bite the bullet. I already upsized to the big fuel pump so it's technically just injectors and tune.

I'll call up Mike...

<Edit> although the CF Driveshaft is lookin pretty interesting and will probably cost about the same all said and done

True true. If you're also out there beating it up on a course, it's safer if it's on a higher octane fuel. Trust me, you'll get spoiled on e85 and probably will never put pump gas back in it haha

^^ Hayyyyyyyy!!

Yeah, I'm sure the iats were coming up at that power level.

Injectors and tune for corn sounds like a winner. You could always add the cf driveshaft later for some added response and reduced weight... Let us know what you decide Lowend!
