yet another bad stevens creek experience

...so I'm trying to order the '04 sway bar mount upgrade. Subaruparts.com is too busy to take my call, so I make the mistake of trying steven's creek.

First, I get redirected like 5 times, mostly to the sales dept. When I finally get someone on the phone, he seems to have no clue. I tell him what I need, then he proceeds to argue with me about the difference's between the wagon and sedan sway mounts. I tell him, hey, they are the same (I'm looking at the part #'s) and so he gets gruff and tells me I don't know what I'm talking about. I tell him whatever, just order the friggin' thing, but no, he proceeds but to put me on hold, again, where once again the sales dept. picks up the phone and wants to sell me another car.......

And no, I didn't get my part ordered.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.....one time I took my car to SC Subaru for a service.....they scrached my car....then tried to tell me that they didnt do it.....I said BS this car was immaculate when I brought it in....they only offered to try to buff it out for me....but what good is buffing a scratch that goes all the way down to the plastic on the bumper? So then they offered to have thier paint guy come fix it for me....but the said he is "on call" and works out of the back of a truck.....I said I dont want some JackA$$ with a spray can "fixing" YOUR scratch.....needless to say, they never paid for the scratch to get fixed....and also needless to say....I haven't been back since....they suck **** and b@ll$. Oh yea, they also were supposed to order a bottle of touch up paint for me to fix it myself w/an airbrush.....the bottle NEVER came in...I have doubts it was ever ordered.....

Actually, I will be calling on them to do some install work in the near future. I plan on doing a similar setup to mexicanpizza with a VF34 and UTEC. I enjoy lurking on their trash talking posts.

By the way Gagan, do you guys have the borla hush @ MPJ?

I got you beat...I already busted the whiteline HD mount like six months ago! You can do a search for pics in the suspension forum. Snapped at the L bend. They (whiteline) replaced under warranty but I sold 'em. The new '04 OEM mounts are pretty damn good for $30.

Previous version (blue). I didn't realize those mounts were a new version. They look pretty much the same except for the cut-outs and arrows.

the new ones look to be about twice the material thickness and they're gussetted and seam welded, the old blue one looked like it just had a spot weld, and with metal that thin it's pretty amazing it held at all...

I'd get the Whitelines... They are pretty damn nice. Those old ones are really only made for the GM/GC/GF cars, and for a bar no bigger than probably 22mm.

What kind of bar are you using?

I think the Perrin mounts are stronger than anything else, but they cost up the *** i bet.
