Yet Another Steven Creek Story……

I told them exactly what is wrong with my car:

I accidentally ripped the handle out of the rear seat release. No big Deal…how much could this possibly cost to fix?

I also hit a curb hard and slightly bent the arm on the steering mechanism. An alignment company said it would cost $70.00 for the part and $55 for labor to install it: $125 out the door.

I went to Stevens Creek out of convenience, and to see for myself how bad they actually were....They said that they would need my car for two days to find out what is wrong; it was going to cost me at least $185.00 JUST to diagnose the problems, and several hundred to actually fix them. WTF

What I also find tragic is the $800 30k/60k/90k service that everyone else charges $400-$450 for.

How does this company get away with this? Is it that people do not do their research? Are they really the #1 Subaru dealership in America? I do not understand…..

Go to Santa Cruz or Carlsen. Is your car still under warranty?

This cannot be true. I read last year that they were the worst rated Subaru dealer in the nation.

#1 in sales volume. They're at a prime spot for new customers. Their customer service is pretty **** poor and nearly no one in their right minds would ever want to go back there to buy another car.

yup, Steven's Creek is a volume dealership. So they make their money off selling cars, not bringing people back for service. Usually this leads to cheaper car prices but crap service if you ever bring it back. Which, from my experiences, is true because you can get some good prices from them.

Pretty sure Van Bortel Subaru is the #1 volume dealer in the country. At least they were a couple years ago.
