My experience with Stevens Creek Subaru
If you want to be insulted, lied to, and experience poor customer service & get the run around, this is the right dealership to go to.
I wanted to buy an STI and the sales guys tried to convince me otherwise because they were questioning a female's ability to drive stick shift. That's a bit sexist.
The STi that I bought was pre owned and the previous owner had put an AEM intake on the car. I wanted a stock car but this mod was minor so, whatever. I asked the dealership to make sure if the warranty would still be valid and they said yes, even with the intake. I asked them over and over to make sure. I thought of every way possible to ask the question and they assured me that warranty would still be valid even with the AEM intake. I took their work for it but when I took my car back to get some work done, they said that my warranty was void because of the intake. Do whatever to make a sale, right? Make a sale & then screw the customer over, sure. So be careful when you buy a car from Stevens Creek Subaru. They're really shady on the warranty stuff & they don't tell you things that are wrong with the car. They're not bad at covering it up too, I must give them that because the car ended up having many leaks that they did not tell me about.

Can a Mod change the title of this thread to STEVENS CREEK SUBARU.
Otherwise this is gonna pop up every time someone searches SC Subaru and there is another SC Subaru with a great reputation to protect. SANTA CRUZ.
I'm really sorry for you experience. All you had to do was do a search. There are literally HUNDREDS of complaints on stevens creek. They are terrible. And the crappy thing is that you won't win if you take it to SOA because as far as SOA is concerned the warranty is void due to the intake. So you're just gonna have to fight the dealership.
Oh..... and I'd NEVER buy a car with an AEM intake. AEM has ricer written all over it. I had one on my civic... haaa. To me that says be careful this car has probably been beaten on and probably had more than just this mod on it. Stevens Creek takes car is all kinds of conditions and just puts stock parts on them to cover up the mods and leaves on parts here and there. Good luck with the car. If it hasn't been very long I'd fight them tooth and nail to just take the car back if they won't warranty it. Then get a ride over to Santa Cruz or Capitol and buy a different one.

That's why you need to get everything ON PAPER.
When I bought my used STI, I asked if I could be given a full 7 days to get it inspected by an independent mechanic (I think California law states you have a 2-3 days to get it inspected). I got it all on paper just to make sure that if I did find something by the 7th day I could return it for a full refund.

Also, when I scheduled to get my car for an oil consumption test and asked about my warranty (I have ZERO engine mods and only suspension and wheels), Ivan said that my mods were not engine related so my engine is definitely covered under warranty. Customer service and honesty FTW
I don't need more cowbell dammit!

So, you get made a fool of claiming that SCS was putting on a car show for you that they backed out of so now you have to go and post a new thread bashing them for something that probably never happened. Which salesman did you buy the car from? Which Service Writer told you your warranty claim was being denied? Can you be more specific on the problems with the car? A bunch of leaks and stuff isnt very descriptive of the problems you had and if the problem with the car is related to the intake, than your warranty claim will be denied however a warranty cannot be voided, they can only deny coverage for problems caused by modifications. I dont know what your problem is, but you seem to have a grudge with this dealership for no reason. Also, if SCS is as far away as you claim in your other thread where you said, "they made me and my friends drive all the way down there" why would you again "drive all the way down there" to buy a car, why didnt you go to a closer dealer?

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse SC with Santa Cruz.
Getting into specifics, I can. Papers, sure. But wasting anymore time with you nannys, I cant. I suppose it's a NorCal thing, how you guys act. Somehow you guys are defending Stevens Creek as if it was your child and not letting people who have had poor experiences there speak. If you want to keep defending them and having people go there and get screwed, that's cool too. Maybe one day those customers will end up bashing you for making Stevens Creek Subaru look legit when they're clearly not.
I said what I had to say. Bring the ban hammer on.
