Yeah - you can't talk crap about Vette's anymore
I for one have no problem with a wrx not being able to go head to head against a Vette. It's simply not in the same class.
But a factory cut-out? Is it even street legal in factory trim?

I've never been one to hate on vettes. Especially the Z06, ZR1 level stuff. They're great cars... especially for the dollar figures they hit.
I drove a Z06 just before they went to the 500hp level but this one had ti exhaust, a custom intake, a few other bits and a tune... so it was over the 500hp level too. Retarded fast. Not everyone belongs behind the wheel of one of them.
I saw a ZR-1 up at the golf club around christmas time and was blown away by it. The brakes on that car are SICK!
Great american muscle right there. And they handle well.
Side note... I saw an SRS AMG on the way home from LA...holy **** that's a car on an entirely different level. That things brakes were HUUUUUGE! and gold! Looked maybe like Alcon makes them but that's a shot in the dark as I don't know.

EVERYONE knows their way down a drag strip. It's 1320 feet of straight line!

The latest Vette is very impressive, performance-wise. We can all still agree to make fun of the leaf springs and Vette owners themselves.

GM used the Z06 chassis as a starting point, but further tuned the front and rear independent suspension to work with the ZR1's ultra-wide tires for increased grip. According to GM, the car achieves 1g cornering grip.
The ZR1 comes with GM's Magnetic Selective Ride Control (MSRC) suspension system. The MSRC shocks are automatically adjusted based on driving conditions and vehicle dynamics (cornering, braking, etc) for optimal handling. The system is adjusted every milisecond to provide sharp handling during spirited driving, and a smooth ride while cruising.
While the ZR1 is overall a more aggressive sports car than the Z06, it is actually less harsh over bumps, thanks to the MSRC technology. The damping control of MSRC allowed for front and rear springs that have a slightly lower rate than the Z06, which enhances the car's ride quality.

old.guy.... yeah I'll never forget the first time I put my foot into real HP. I was sideways before I knew WTF was going on.
We kicked around building an F.E.D. for a while but had a few falling outs and guys move away so we the frame went one way and the motor the other. 900hp woulda been fun... and just the beginning. I pretty much raised my hand when they said who will drive it. Haaa.
