ZR1's have electric cutouts from the factory - WOT is basically straight pipe. They howl.
The Z06's LS7 7-liter is a wicked powerful engine, but not great for turbos/superchargers.
When the stroke gets that long (4"!), the piston pin moves into the ring pack to accommodate rods. Compromised ring packs (not to mention hypereutectic pistons) and boost are not good bedfellows.

Its a ZR1, And its on drag slicks..... It better do something for 100k
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
An all-new LS9 motor produces 638 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 604 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm. Delivering more than 100 horsepower per liter, the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 is mated to a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox with a new high-capacity clutch designed for the increased power. The twin-disc 260mm clutch.
All that power equates to a zero-to-60 mpg time of just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph.
"It all boils down to the power-to-weight ratio and the ZR1's is exceptional," said Chevy's Ed Peper. "Better than the Porsche 911 GT2, the Ferrari 599 and even the Lamborghini LP640. In fact, the ZR1 is expected to be the first production Corvette to achieve a top speed of at least 200 mph."
GM used the Z06 chassis as a starting point, but further tuned the front and rear independent suspension to work with the ZR1's ultra-wide tires for increased grip. According to GM, the car achieves 1g cornering grip.
Exotic looks, exotic materials
The use of carbon fiber is pretty extensive throughout the ZR1. The wider fenders are made of the material, as are the hood, roof panel, roof bow, front fascia splitter and rocker moldings.
Brakes, tires, and wheels
The ZR1 has the largest wheels ever of any production Corvette -- not just in diameter, but in width also. The rims measure 20 inches in rear diameter and 19 inches up front. Rear width is a whopping 12 inches, while the front wheels are nearly as massive at 10 inches of width.
The matching Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires measure P285/30ZR19 in front and P335/25ZR20 in the rear. While Michelin's PS2 tires are offered on many vehicles, these were engineered specifically for the ZR1, GM says.
The car's braking system features carbon-ceramic rotors measuring 15.5 inches up front and 15 inches at the rear. GM says the rotors are so durable they should not requiring replacement for the life of the vehicle.
Squeezing the discs are six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers, painted in ZR1-exclusive blue.
Adjustable suspension
The ZR1 comes with GM's Magnetic Selective Ride Control (MSRC) suspension system. The MSRC shocks are automatically adjusted based on driving
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like the look of the newer vettes. I used to be a Z06 owner. But I never liked the handling. And most owners are tards.
As for this car. Look on HP tuners, Its not a "stock"car. Even if you get past the ZR1 as being stock model which it really is not. I am also sure that gearbox is not going to last long doing those launches. I know I broke two gearboxes on mine doing much less. Then after the dealer replaced the 2nd time I sold it.

NOT THAT IMPRESSED! check stock z06 times on dr's
10's? is that so important, and the z06 can do that as well.
The car is awesome but;
1)cost 100g+
2)STOCK z06 ON drag Radials=10.7@130
3)no faster than z06 on race track
4)oh yea did I mention 100g's+
I think the reality is a z06 is going to be faster for 98% of us all around, and even that is a beast.

Sure this is impressive, but are we really surprised? The Corvette is simply the epitome of American engineering, which has always designed cars to sport massive engines.
Doing 10 seconds on the 1/4 is nice and so are those times on the track, but this is the result of such massive engines. As there are downsides to our 2L milk carton-sized engines, such as low numbers, there are also downsides to this Corvette as well. It probably has poor mileage or has a low efficiency engine. Put a 7L engine block in my car and it'd be pretty fast too...

100K and 10second stock? Not shabby
.
But I bet 100k - a 27k stock subaru leaving 73k you could make something that goes faster and is just as reliable.
Not down talking vettes, I'm just no fan of domestic cars, you either get **** or you get over priced.
