LOL that's nuthin! I hooked up my Cobb AP 2.0 and checked the mpg under WOT. 2mpg, yes 2.

On the other side of that fence it gets 25-26mpg @ 70mph with the cruise on in 6th gear.

Makes me really think when I smash on it now with 91 @ $4.99 up here.

<--sad fat man.

Sorry, no help from me, just some perspective.

I don't have a N/A motor but isn't 23 good for an aging motor? I would clean my injectors and valves before I went "fishing" chucking parts at it. Unless you want to upgrade then I say do the basics first.

I thinks it's more to do with our AWD system and less to do with the fact that his motor is N/A and ours are turbos. Yes ours has the potential and ability to burn more gas, hence the forced induction. But easy driving in the tallest gears we should net similar mileage.

Fuel filter and spark plugs need to be replaced on NA motors every 30,000 miles. You mentioned changing the plugs but you need to do the filter if you haven't already.

I have a STi pump with about 5-6k on it. Dunno if it works for your car but if you want it hit me up. It's minus the bag (filter). Just pay like $3 for shipping.

I've changed the PCV Valve, Cleaned my K&N Drop in, changed oil in tranny and motor, New spark plugs, and I just now replaced my knock sensor which was causing my CEL. The only thing I have not changed is the fuel filter, I will be doing that soon.

only other thing i can think of is front 02 sensor, since it's used for timing and fuel purposes.

If the front sensor was bad wouldn't I get a CEL?

nope. if it's just dirty, and clogged up,it's just reading wrong, but still within it's bounds.

Ill take it out and clean it later today, I'll be driving to tracy tomorrow so I'll be able to tell if the knock sensor was the problem.

yeah mpg is bad I have the same motor in my legacy and I average about 24 mpg. it sounds like it is the knock sensor. but with mileage that bad it could be a combo of things. but I think you replaced just about every thing I do have a few ?/sugestions. first when you changed the plugs did you test your plug wires? if you have bad wires the cilinder might not be buring all the gas. the second is did you check your coil pack it not something that gose bad alot but has been know to it could cause the same problem. good luck hope you find the problem
