WQC-39: Engine Control Module Reprogramming
when i had my impreza, i had to do an ECM reflash for emissions a couple years ago. took a few minutes at subaru dealership, and the info was sent to the DMV via computer.
i also got physical cert too, which wasn't needed since the dmv got the info electronically.
i was then able to register my car that year no problem
going to do the same process this time with my new vehicle, only i'm going to wait right now till somebody sends cobb that new reflashed rom so they can make their map changes and put out a new version.
if somebody doesn't do that anytime soon, then i'll just go in and get reflashed. the mods won't matter, all i have to do is undo the AP and unmarry. the dealership isn't going to be screwing around with the car. they are only doing a quick ECM reflash.

but there isnt a repair just a flash in the programing right? no parts will be replaced.
i guess ill have to stop by capital or stevens creek and see what they say, i dont plan on removing my parts. have them flash and do what they have to do( hopefully not drive it) and program back my tune.

Probably will have to drive it in to dealer, reflash to stock map, they'll reflash the update, and when they're done I flash it back to my OTS Cobb map.
Sound right? I haven't received the email about it yet.

Correct! I just want to know if they drive the car around after the reflash or just park it. Anyone been through this yet? I hear they are mailing/emailing so check those mailboxes as well.
