Too late...

I think you may be too late. I watched a thing on T.V. about Bay area sites. They mentioned that the Spot was closing or has already closed.

http://www.mysteryspot.com/

I went many years ago, and don't remember there being a $5 parking fee and I got a coupon discount for $4 per person.

I also went to the Winchester Mystery House few years back. Very different and thought that Mystery Spot was more fun. I thought the price was a bit high for WMH, but I guess it's okay if you've never been there before.

Yea mystery spot is cool. It's one of those places you go to check out why everyone has a bumper sticker. Just go, you don't have to come back. I know I won't.

There is another mystery spot on the news that was sold/closed, but it was not the one in Santa Cruz. It was actually in another state. The tour guide said they were the one and only, guess not.

True indeed.

I went just because I was tired of seeing those bumper stickers. It was ok. Nothing too great.

it was worth teh drive as some booty was awarded.

I would say don't waste your time, but it's one of those things where you won't know it's a waste of your time until you actually go waste your own time on it, which is why I went. So go. It's a waste of your time.

I've been in SC for 20 years and have yet to go lol....I hear its cool...We should pick a day Ray lol...If you come over 17, get off on Granite Creek, go back over the freeway and that will lead you to Branciforte Dr, then turn right (I'm pretty sure) to head to the Mystery Spot. Much more fun than going all the way to hwy 1....Also, when you're done, B40 Dr north past Granite Creek leads to many nifty little twistys that eventually go back to 17 (via Vine Hill), unfortunately due to the latest rains they may be closed...
