i've never been there and would like to go. How is it there? And what else is there to do in santa cruz afterwards? Thanks!

as far as santa cruz goes, what there is to do depends alot on the people going. beach, shops, restaraunts. if you like mountain roads, and like the drive, you might want to think about taking highway 9, it goes from cupertino ( los gatos) to santa cruz.

ha I lived in SC for 6ish years and never went to mystery spot, people say its cool if you have kids...
there's a good frisbee golf couse (de la vega i dont think my spelling is correct).
hwy 9 is good, i usually find fewer cars on old san jose rd...
if you take hwy 9 watch out for CHP, last time I was up there (about a year ago) i saw 3 of 'em, thank god i wasn't beating the snot out of my suby that time!

yes, go to the mystery spot.
did a detour couple years ago with my friends on our way to laguna seca. it was fun and interesting. couple years after that, couple other friends wanted to go, so i went as well. the 2nd time i thought of some experiment of my own. there's no smoking around the mystery spot, but i took out my lighter anyways. i had the flame coming out of my lighter. it was a calm day with no wind, and for some strange reason the flame was bending one way at the top.

Totally the same in the sense that it takes your money, you spend a few hours there, it seems interesting at first, and then a few days later you realize someone just sold you air and you want your time and money back.
