Yep, guns have nothing to do with this. CRAZY is CRAZY. Crazy guy doesn't have a gun? He will find another way...so leave the "how" out of it. The problem is WHY people do this kind of ****. You can't really stop people from being psychos. What kind of lunatic shoots kindergarteners?

He drove 80 miles to get to the school...apparently after killing his brother also. That is not random or "breaking point" he had a LOT of time to think abut what was about to happen.

oh of course it will. im sure the idea of concealed carry permits will for sure come up, and like you said, which is completely understandable and expected. i just dont want to see this thread a banter amongst i clubbers regarding gun laws. make a new thread for that, of which im sure it will be a great thread with great idea and remarks. but i feel like this thread should stay deticated to thos lost and those who have lost.

exactly. we need to understand the world we live in today and to plan and prepare for another incident, god forbid. which is where im sure gun laws will come in. but again, we shouldnt be talking about gun laws and gihting amongst IC about this.

im sorry if i sound real **** about this, but i myself have a friend who has lost a younger brother to insecure "humans" i seen how he was and IS after loosing his loved one. So please, lets keep this on topic and express how this really impacts us and our thoughts about the incident.

Sorry Wr0n3r, this is a subject that really gave me chills when i first heard and i want to make sure that IC knows this is something VERY serious that should not be over passed by banter regarding things that irrelevant to this thread. i am glad you started this thread.

Theres really nothing you can do to prevent **** like this in our overpopulated society. Whether there's stricter laws on gun control or open carry, **** like this will go down as long as there are mental ****s walking around. At this point all you can hope for is to get lucky and dodge events like this happening to your family.

I still dont get shooting kids ffs.

From the NY Post:

A crazed gunman dressed in black went on a rampage at a Connecticut elementary school this morning, in a massacre that left the shooter and 26 dead others - including 18 children.

Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother dead and targeted her kindergarten class at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., sources sais. Sources also told The Post that Lanza's mother was a teacher at the school and he "had a dispute with her."

Lanza is dead inside the school.

Lanza used two handguns and a .223-caliber assault rifle, an official said. The official also said that New Jersey state police are searching a location in connection with the shootings.

Police in Hoboken, NJ are questioning Lanza's older brother Ryan, 24, but he is not a suspect.
I guess thats why Ryan was posting on FB and twitter.

Is it easier to kill 20 people with a gun or with a knife? Are you more likely to stop an attacker who has a knife or an attacker with a gun?

Yes, people will still kill other people if they want to, but guns make it a helluva lot easier, dont ya think?

Yea, crazy is crazy. 27 down, 18 kids. Dude went up in his mom's class and blasted everyone, including the mother, brother, and himself.

Apparently he also shot up the office and the school psyc and principal?

Dude was pissed about something, but again crazy is crazy. This could happen in ANY SCHOOL.

Guy had a vest on with 4 guns and a lot of ****ing rounds.

I don't understand this form of suicide. Like... I want to die, but I'm going to take a bunch of innocent kids away from their parents? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU.

I see what you're saying but killing people with your tools is still killing people. Whether he killed those kids with a hunting knives or with a gun makes no difference. Dude was crazy and no amount of laws was going to prevent this tragedy.

This has nothing to do with gun control, sorry. It has to do with the person, period.

Dude you said it yourself..."people will still kill other people if they want to", its not about the tool, its about the people

You want to talk about the easiest way to kill someone? Get in your car and hit the gas...its not about the tool used its the tool using it

I understand your point as well, but to the parents who lost their kids today (or in previous incidents), the possibility that fewer lives might have been lost (even if it was just 1 child) is probably more than enough motivation to restrict firearms.

At this point, I'm just willing to agree that we disagree.

I DID grow up in a country where firearms are outlawed, and I recognize how that fact (in all likely hood) affects my views on mass killings.

people kill people. not guns, knives, etc. hell you could do the same damage with your own 2 hands. but the principal is still there.
