Car Info: 2006 GMC Canyon with Silverado V8
This is why you do not illegally smog your car or post about it: CARB employee inside

I recently acquired a 2006 Gmc canyon from South Dakota through an old army friend going on his 4th deployment. Got it for free and he asked that I hang onto it for him, as it holds sentimental value - he and his dad (who's no longer with us) modified the truck together so they could go hunting.

However, California being a tree hugging *** state, this thing won't pass smog.

It has had an engine swap (GMC silverado 5.3L V8) and all sorts of other modifications that complicates it from passing smog.

Someone PLEASE PLEASE PM me with anyone they know for a smog hook up.

Thanks all!

Asking for smog hook-ups is a no-no, Reported.

Put it back stock and you will not have any problems!

Also, hello state ref employee!

State refs using peoples emotions to bust smog violators. That is a new low, our outrageous tax dollars paying for this?

First off, BULL****, a GMC 5.3 swap would be 100% legal in the state, just needs to go to the ref. The rule is, the engine swap must be a newer engine, and must have been available "for that model" (so no car engines in trucks)

Second off, your a ****ing snitch, I hope someone finds your real information, posts it to the internet, and some psyco sneaks into your home in the middle of the night and slits your throat.

Might be a tad overboard, but I feel your passion in this comment.
