Wouldn't it be just as difficult as a taking the old I6 out and replacing it with a v8? Build the mitsubishi trans to hold that power or have a custom one built that has the necessary adaptations of input\output.

Then again I've never built a car.

I have had the same issues at times with my Shelby with wheel spin even in 5th.. can't see this being a street car lol
