if you have the money, you can buy the windshield parts from the dealer & have them install it for you. we're talking about $700 plus tax.
if you're in a budget, you can go to any windhield glass repair shop. at the same time, i've heard not so good results.

I've been in your shoes before. Same thing happened to me. Some truck kicked up pebbles and I got a crack on my windshield. First, see if you have any coverage on your insurance for it. I think I was covered for $150 or $200. I can't quite remember. But that should cut the pain down wherever you decide to get it done. I just got it done by some place that goes right to your house and does it in about an hour.
I'm getting mine done saturday at high noon, at my house for $140 installed. Just praying he does a good job at that price. I'll let you know how it turns out. Guy has been in bussiness for 8 years now. Checked BBB and no complaints. Lifetime against leaking and defects.

aftermarket glass doesn't crack from breathing on it like stock glass.
I got DuPont quality aftermarket glass from Oakland Glass installed as part of bodywork done on my car, and they did an excellent job.

Yep, that was the out the door price! Took him about 45min. Great workmanship and he was on time. He replaced the glass and the rubber seal that goes around the glass but re-used the old factory rubber molding.
He said that some of the glass companies try and replace that too, but if it doesn’t need replacing they don't do it just because. Most of the time on a newer car it doesn't need replacing. If you want that too then he said another $60 would cover it. Still $200 wouldn't be that bad either.
Import Auto Glass is the company and the guys name is Sergey. He and his two or three brothers own the business. They offer a lifetime warranty on leakage and workmanship. 916.296.4445 or 916.416.1333.
